Who are we?
In 2015 a group of local producers started an initiative called Farming Moorabool to try and bring together a network of regional food producers, both big and small, across all commodity sectors.
Farming Moorabool is passionate about creating a positive awareness of farming amongst the wider community. To help consumers better understand what it takes to be a modern day food producer, we've focused on education from Primary School to Federal Government level and developed unique opportunities for these groups to talk directly with local food producers.

Who are primary producers?
Primary producers are the people who work with our natural resources to grow and harvest our primary products (raw materials). Primary producers in agriculture - our farmers - are the first vital step in food production.
Farming in Moorabool has a long and cherished tradition from the early pioneers through to today’s modern day food producers. Many farming families across the region are multi-generational and have been sustainably growing produce for over 100 years.
